Overdue Update

There are so many things to tell! SO, I'll just jump in!

Finished Objects

First of all, I finished my first PAIR of socks ever. I've made tons of socks, but they've all ended up either lonely singles or tossed in the frog pond. I'm very proud to not only have finished an entire pair, but that I was able to modify the pattern such that they have a tabi toe that lets me wear them with my favorite shoes!



I also finished another Coronet made from double stranding Caron Simply Soft with Yarn Bee Featherwisp. I think it came out purty.



I mastered the Garterlac Dishcloth, though no one I know could see the point in knitting a dishcloth. I guess that's because they all have dishwashing machines. I'm happy to have been able to complete it though.



On the Needles

I've made it to the arm-hole shaping on the back of my March Basic Cardi. I like the project alot, but I've only been working on it when I don't have something else close at hand. It's still small enough to travel and goes with me to the doctor's office usually.



Then there's my serious Second Sock Syndrome with gloves these days. I started a pair in the autumnal colorway I had dyed up and done my first Coronet in, but I haven't gotten past the first two fingers on the second glove.



Even worse, I have SSS on this pair of Cardinal Cigar! They were meant for my dad for his birthday (which, by the way, is today), but as you can see, I haven't gotten them done. They're quite yummy though, since I've been knitting them from Cascade 220 (100% Peruvian Wool) in Red. When they're finally finished, they'll match his favorite Cardinals jacket, and they'll come in quite handy when my parents go to England next winter.



I still have quite a bit of knitting left to do. There's the Happy Hat for my best friend's daughter's birthday, the "stocking" cap for my children's god-father's birthday, a small teddy bear for my son to take to a classmate's birthday party, the Breast Cancer Awareness Scarf that I wanted to make for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the gloves my husband wants made from the same sock yarn I made my tabi socks out of, and a Chevron Afghan throw to help make my blue furniture match my rust and moss house. Beyond all that is a long holiday gift list that I have yet to pick projects for. I'm buried in yarn!
