Long row to hoe....

I'm still chugging along on the cable scarf, but since it's not noticeably longer or different in anyway, I'll not photograph it again just yet.

BUT, I do have a Lace and Fan Baby Afghan on another set of needles. It's a gift for someone else, hence the pink. We're pretty sure that our blanket will be blue =P. And TA DA! Here it is! I'm only four repeats in, but at 176 stitches per row, it's a long row to hoe (or in this case knit). The only thing that bothers me is that back at the beginning I twisted some stitches there in the straight knit columns of the pattern stitch, but due to the yarn overs on each side, I can't just ladder down and un-twist them. I'd have to isolate five stitches per pattern, ladder all five down, then use dpns to re-knit the entire sequence all the way back up to the top. All the twisted stitches are in the first repeat (each pattern is 15 stitches, each repeat 10 rows), and that's alot of laddering. I guess I'll just live with them the way they are now. *sigh* My underlying perfectionist knitter is screaming.

Nice work--I wouldn't sweat the twisted stitches. I doubt anyone would ever notice. Where did you find the pattern? That is one lucky friend you have........
