Socks Rule!

I've been having so much fun with my sock knitting that I've now given myself a rule concerning my pair-per-month goal. Only socks cast on in that month count towards the goal. I'm not sure that I'll actually finish more than one pair of socks in a month, especially not with a return to the university this summer (I wonder if they'll get mad at me for knitting in class?), but I get excited and want to cast on another pair just to see the colors start coming out of the skein. I am using the sock calculator for my patterns and two circulars for my method. Eventually I want to be doing two socks on two circulars at the same time, mostly because I want to try the Straight Laced Socks on Knitty. The only thing I don't like about the two circulars is that when I shove my sock in my purse to take with me to wherever I'll be doing some waiting, the needles tend to splay and poke out of my purse sides, even when I tuck them in the skein. Oh well, minor annoyance I guess.

No knitting for me today though, I'm off to finish getting everything ready for my son's birthday party this evening :)
