Stash Yarn, Part One

As I said before, I've got a lot of yarn in the closet that's starting to tell me what it wants to be, which only figures because I'm trying hard to finish the project I'm on before starting anything new. Those yarns will just have to settle with having thier dream pieces listed here with a picture of the still balled yarn. :)

First up is an acrylic mohair-look yarn. I have to love acrylic. It can look like so many other yarns and still be somewhat kid-proof. These two balls here are asking me to make them into a lacy and light triangular shawl, so I guess I'll have to start pattern hunting for them.

Next is a trio of worsted weight acrylics in some yummy coffee shades that want to be a woven stitch skinny scarf. It's only twenty rows, but those rows are four hundred stitches each! I think it'll be worth it though.

Then comes several cottons that are seeking lives in the kitchen. This one wants to be placemats and/or napkins.

This one sees itself more as a dishcloth.

And this fantastic colorway is just aching to recover the worn-out and stuffy formal pattern on my dining room chairs.

Further down the stash pile are four skeins that I rescued from the clearance bin at a local crafts store. They have decided to become pretty blouses for baby girl. One in pink,

and one in some spicier colors. :)

There's more stash to come as I get time to snap and edit photos, so stay tuned!

I'm loving that "spicier" colorway. It reminds me of the leaves in autumn.

I'm on a yarn diet too. :( It's just awful. But i'm trying to save so I can binge on some gorgeous egyptian cotton yarn. :D
