Abandon all hope, ye who enter here...
... because knitting is addictive.
Okay, so what do I have on the needles right now? Hogwart's scarf in the Ravenclaw (film) house colors. I'm making a desperate attempt to finish it before the deadline to mail it to my brother for his birthday. So, I've got about a week and a half to complete a six foot long by eight inch wide scarf (in the round no less, so basically twelve feet by a foot and a half) in order to get it there by the sixth. I ripped it down to the cast on row after realizing what a mess I'd made of the joins and that it was dreadfully wide, so I've just gotten back to this point after only one day of knitting:

Once this one's done, I have another scarf to do for a friend, one for my husband, one for myself and one last one for yet another friend. Meanwhile, my sock yarn and the cotton for my new purse is screaming my name from its storage space inside the closet, but I haven't been able to send my brother anything in years so I'm using all my willpower to stay the course and complete his scarf on time. Then I've got some Sugar-n-Cream cotton that's beginning to whisper that it wants to be a matching set of placemats, napkins and dishtowels for a friend of mine's housewarming at the end of May, not to mention the yummy cotton that wants to become the new upolstery for my dining chairs, maybe a matching table runner... hmmm.....
I hate it when my yarn gangs up on me.

Leigh,
I know how you feel with the yarn just calling out your name and saying"Knit me, Knit me!" It does get you going on the project you're working on so you can start a new project. Right now I have almost completed my first set of socks on two circulars and am working on my first sweater. I have two scarfs completed, which were my first knitting projects. Are you addicted to it like me? I have only been knitting since the first of February and I have a huge yarn stash already! I guess like you I will have to go on a yarn diet too! Love your blog site. You have wonderful pictures too! Keep up the great work!
